Next up are the Coronation Street spoilers.
Coronation Street’s Emma Brooker faces a life-changing day next week as she prepares to marry Curtis Delamere.
Emma has pledged to continue to support Curtis (Sam Retford) after the factual malfunction revelations, but Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney )’s advice crosses her mind on her big day when she wonders if it’s the right thing to do does.
It is also unclear whether Curtis will even show up if he is late for the ceremony. Could you take the result of the day out of Emma’s hands?
Alexandra Mardell, who plays Emma, recently spoke to me Digital spy and other media about what lies ahead.

How does Emma feel now that she knows the truth about Curtis?
“She is devastated. Curtis is everything to her – he’s the prince she’s been looking for. It’s just so typical of Emma that something went wrong. It’s just such a shame because she thinks this is the right one. So she is devastated but I think she is ready to do anything to try to make it work. “
Why did Emma choose to tell Amy the truth this week?
“It’s such a big secret and she can’t handle it. Emma is such an honest person. It’s a bit relieved to just share it with someone they can trust. It’s exactly what she had to keep going, so she confided in her sister. “
Even though Amy didn’t support her, is Emma still interested in moving the wedding on?
“Yes she is. I mean, Amy’s a little Tracy so trusting her would probably be a mistake! But she still wants to trust Curtis, despite what Amy said. She’s trying to convince Amy that it’s the right thing to do. “

Curtis has also grown close to Steve. Is Emma worried about how the family will react if she learns the truth about Curtis?
“Definitely. They all trusted Curtis so much, especially when it came to helping out for Oliver’s fund. He’s really become part of the family now, which only makes it worse.
“Obviously Steve will put Emma and her happiness first. So she knows it won’t go down well, but I think that’s why she wants to keep it a secret until the wedding is over and everything is signed off. Then Steve wouldn’t have any choice but to forgive him.
“I think it would be a tough job for Steve, but Emma has to be his priority. So maybe he could forgive Curtis for doing it for Emma. “
Amy takes things out of Emma’s hands by deciding to tell Steve. How does Emma react?
“To be honest I would get mad, but Emma is so nice. I think she just understands that Amy is always on top of her best. Amy was just trying to help, so I think Emma is a little relieved that “Everyone knows now. There are definitely no hard feelings towards Amy. “
How is Emma feeling on the morning of their wedding?
“Scared, nervous and wondering if this is the right thing to do. I think everyone has these kinds of fears when they do something this big, but especially when there have been lies before they even tied the knot .
“Emma is definitely nervous, but only hopeful. And she’s so in love, and I think that overwrites everything. “

What goes through Emma’s mind when she’s waiting for the wedding and it’s unclear whether Curtis will show up?
“For Emma, everything is like a roller coaster ride. She thinks, ‘Should I keep going? He comes? Should I run away? ‘
“Emma definitely has doubts as to whether Curtis will show up because it is supposed to be the bride who is late, right? Something went wrong.”
Would you like to see Emma keep her happy until the end of her days?
“I would, yes. I don’t necessarily know if Curtis is right for Emma. But she is really happy with him. And if he thinks Emma can help and fix him, then yes, why not? She’s got heartache enough so let her try to find out. “
Why do you think Emma is so unhappily in love?
“I don’t know because she just gives everything she can. Maybe she’s just expecting too much, or maybe she’s just a little too busy and falls in love with the wrong person too quickly. I think she just wants everything to work all the time. instead of really thinking, ‘Does this person suit me?’ “
Who of her other friends do you think Emma was best for?
“David was definitely a big mistake, there’s no doubt about it. It’s a shame with Chesney, it was a lovely relationship they built. But at the end of the day it should be Gemma and Chesney.”
“Very similar again, there was a lot of potential with her and Seb, but there is always another lovely lady, right? So ultimately I think Curtis is sorting out Emma’s Prince Charming. But at the end of the day I think they go well together. “

If Emma were your friend, what advice would you give her?
“Stay single! She has to focus a little on herself. It is said that if you are not looking for love, then you will find it. Maybe she just needs to focus on herself and take a step back.
“You never know, there might even be someone around that she hasn’t even thought of. She just has to let things take care of herself, concentrate on herself and then someone who is actually perfect could come by.”
What was it like filming Corrie’s Christmas wedding?
“Oh, wow. It was very strange! There’s a lot going on at Emma’s wedding so it was in full swing. It was like being in Disneyland – it gave me a bit of a headache! It was so much pink too – extremely pink! It was crazy.
“It felt like a big deal, especially around Christmas, so I was really excited. It was great to have to choose a wedding dress for Emma.”
What was it like planning your own real life wedding at the same time as Emma’s?
“It’s like the best of both worlds because Emma’s style and her wedding are the complete opposite of anything I would choose. So it’s nice to look around at the things I would never have myself and just really enjoy them.
“I came in at Emma’s wedding and thought it was horrible – but it was fabulous for Emma!”

ITV
What do you think of Emma’s wedding dress?
“It was the first one I tried on. I put it on and we thought this was very Emma. We tried a few, but nothing compared to – it’s the perfect dress for her.
“I had a lot of input working with costume designer Alex. We tried on a few different dresses, but we both agreed that this was right for Emma.”
Did you always know where Curtis’ story was going?
“Not in full, but I knew there was going to be trouble along the way. It would never be easy!
“I think I only knew halfway through everything. Then it just got more exciting to play against knowledge too. It was exciting for us to penetrate the secret.”
