Aberdeenshire vintage Land Rover rentals are taking the wedding scene by storm

Northeastern couple Andy Findlay and Bridgit Edmonstone, who met while working at Scottish Rural College, have introduced a new concept for wedding car rental.

Bonnets and Boots Limited is based in Aberdeenshire and covers weddings, elopements and events throughout northern Scotland. Bonnets and Boots Limited offers a fun, stylish, and unique wedding car alternative.

A premier for the region and featuring a legendary 1983 series 3 sage-green Land Rover affectionately known as Olive, Bonnets and Boots, adds a sense of style and personality to a newlyweds big day and is guaranteed to turn heads draw and guests have to talk.

With seating for up to six passengers, the Land Rover offers versatility for accommodating the wedding party.

Olive is accompanied by Babs, a mini “Toylander”, which is kept in the same color scheme and will delight the little wedding guests and offers great photo opportunities.

Future plans are in preparation to offer additional events such as party picnics, suggestions and birthdays in collaboration with a local craft catering company.

Andy, a freelance trainer in the land based sector, and Bridgit, who has had a long career in marketing, pride themselves on customer service and attention to detail.

In the restored Land Rover, the wedding party is pampered with luxurious blankets and a picnic basket with water and sparkling wine for their journey.

The interior is tastefully decorated with twinkling lights, white roses and eucalyptus.

As standard, the exterior is decorated with raffia and flowers in neutral colors, but can be adapted to the individual wishes of the customer.

Director Andy Findlay commented, “With the easing of restrictions, the current trend towards relaxed, informal and intimate weddings, and the demand in the market for ‘something different’, Bridgit and I have discovered a niche in the market, combining our interests and the result is a unique package that we hope will be a great alternative for local couples. ”
