CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Two Charlottesville stores are cleaning up broken glass after a series of break-ins over the weekend.
Benny Delucas and Potbelly Sandwich Shop on West Main Street say they were both robbed. Glass was smashed in both places and the registers stolen in every store.
Benny Deluca’s manager says they lost $ 100 and the door was broken into.
“We got cameras on the register, the back and all,” said Benny Deluca’s manager, Markel Johnson. “But we don’t have staff like a computer to start it up ourselves. The owners and the GM will pull it up for us from their PCs, they have their own information. So just wait to hear from him to see what they say. “
Benny Deluca employees say the restaurant will be closed for the next few days as they try to clean up and relax.
