It’s party time in Blackpool when mom and daughter start their events business

Beverley Forbes and daughter Shania (20) have taken over Platinum Parties with a plan to beautify events across the Northwest.

They hosted an outdoor launch event for the company this month and have had numerous social media contacts since their interest.

Beverley said, “We have all sorts of things to get any kind of party going, everything from popcorn machines and wishing wells, lit letters to form words like love and mrs and mrs for weddings, to picture and mixing stands and Prosecco walls!

“Shania has her own business, Shania’s Cakes and Bakes, and I was working in the school kitchen in Anchorsholme. She was the one who said this would make a fantastic deal for both of us and when the opportunity arose in June, we just did it. Sometimes you just have to do it when the opportunity presents itself, regardless of economic conditions.

“The launch party went very well, with entertainers and refreshments and we had 65 people visiting our site straight away. We want to build the business and then grow. We are already looking for new items like photo boxes to add to the offer.

“The time is right for this type of business now that hopefully we are all out of the coronavirus restrictions. People have had a tough time and we want to bring a little bit of glitter, a little bit more, into every event they have. ” comes on.

“People now want to let off steam and party a bit, and with the number of weddings growing, this is the ideal time to make these events a little more special. We’re here to add a little bit of the wow factor.”
