News from Princess Diana: The story behind the king’s “honeymoon” dress exposed at the exhibition | Royal | news

Royal Style in the Making includes the pink clothing designed by David Sassoon for Bellville Sassoon. The dress and jacket ensemble was worn for the first time after her wedding to Charles in 1981.

It made another appearance during a royal tour of Australia in 1982 – and at the dedication ceremony of a hospital in Grimsby in 1983.

Princess Diana died in a car accident in 1997, but her iconic style lives on.

Rich Simmons, Senior Stylist Supervisor at Stitch Fix UK, described how to recreate the most iconic looks of Princess Diana.

He told Express.co.uk, “Diana’s style has surpassed itself over the past thirty years and the accessible nature of her style is now easier than ever to achieve.”

The People’s Princess often chose colored coats and sweaters, as well as tailored suits.

Many of Diana’s outfits are easy to replicate at home, as she often opted for “effortless” pieces like baggy pants, blouses, and trainers.

Mr. Simmons added, “The key aspects of Diana’s style are easy to replicate given current trends; Try pleated wide-leg pants and a fitted, high-necked blouse with puff sleeves for an effortless look that is easy to pair with heels.

“If you’re looking for more casual attire, try boyfriend jeans from the likes of Lee Denim, a nautical striped t-shirt, and Superga sneakers for a simple school outfit.”

One of Princess Diana’s most important items of clothing was the white Superega sneakers that she had seen many times when leaving the gym.

Nowadays, the shoes can be found in a wide variety of colors and styles.

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was previously seen in baggy pants and white Superga trainers like her late mother-in-law.

Mr. Simmons added: “After all, Diana became so known for her bold blazers; To recreate the look this fall, try a statement block blazer over a light rib knit and jeans.

“The key to meeting this trend in a really wearable way is to keep things simple and make fashionable details shine on the blazer. Try a colorful style, heavy padding on the shoulders, or an oversized cut to channel the top of ’80s Diana. ”
